the literary arts
From book launches to workshops and poetry readings, we are proud to feature some of the best literary programing in the city. Please visit our Events page for a full calendar listing.
The Flyover Library is a collection of books by Midwestern authors or books about the Midwest located in our space. Reading copies of each title are available for anyone to borrow, and the catalog of titles will soon be available online for anyone who is interested in the wide array of literature being produced in and about the Midwest. Wild Goose Creative champions work by authors in “Flyover States” and works to support and celebrate the region and the literature inspired by it.
Meets every 2nd Tuesday, 7-9pm. Are you working on a poem, novel or short story? For first time attenders, we encourage you to bring a few older works that you are proud of to share. It helps the group to get a better idea of what sort of writing you like to do. This event is FREE for Wild Goose members. $5 suggested donation for non-members.
Created by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation, Poetry Out Loud (POL) encourages students to learn about great poetry through memorization and recitation. This program helps students master public speaking skills, build self-confidence, and learn about literary heritage and contemporary life. Wild Goose Creative is proud to be coordinating Central-Ohio’s Semi-Regional competition for the 3rd year in partnership with the Ohio Arts Council.
