Films for Action: Human Rights Film Series
Love great movies?
Interested in taking action on important human rights issues?
Want to get more involved in your local community?
The Films For Action: Human Rights Film Series shows an innovative range of challenging documentaries on the third Thursday of the month at 7pm. Films that you may not get to see anywhere else!
Each screening event focuses on a different human rights issue that directly impacts your local community. Every film is followed by a discussion and actions led by local non-profits. For each event there will be a suggested donation of $5.
We act as a chapter of Films For Action, a nonprofit that promotes alternative media channels that will inform, connect, and inspire action at a community level.
Join Single Payer Action Network (SPAN) Ohio and Films for Action to explore the evolution of our healthcare system and compare it with the system developed in Canada.
Decide for yourself if we can do better…and take action!
Narrated by Keifer Sutherland, The Healthcare Movie provides an excellent insight into the real cost of our health care system. After the film there will be a discussion, and SPAN will lead an action.
