WRITER’S GROUP

The writer’s group is a place for writers from beginner to experienced to share their works and receive feedback from others. Bring your most recent work, either complete or in-progress, and talk about where it has been, is, and where it could be.

Wild Goose Writer's Group Frequently Asked Questions

What is the format of the group?

The group is set up as a casual discussion group focusing around writing. We come together to chat about our shared interest in writing and to share our current work with each other.

What should I bring?

Each writer is encouraged to bring a short fiction/non-fiction sample of work each month. This work can be poetry, prose, or whatever other style of writing you prefer. We normally keep the work short, like a piece that can be shared in 5 to 10 minutes time. If you cannot bring any current work, please bring a short sample of another author's work that inspires you.

For first time attenders, we encourage you to bring a few older works that you are proud of to share. It helps the group to get a better idea of what sort of writing you like to do.

How many people attend each month?

Depending on the month, typically between 5-10 people are there to join the discussion.

Are there any membership requirements?

No, there are none. We only ask that you bring enthusiasm and are courteous to the other members.

Wild Goose Creative, the kind folks that lend us the use of their space, is a non-profit organization that stays afloat solely from the kind donations of it's event attenders. Any donation that you can contribute can be put in the white Wild Goose Egg located in the space.

When: First Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. See the Event Calendar for specific dates.
