In August, we welcome local singer/songwriter, Matt Beckler, whose genre defying music has appeared everywhere from indie films to hit TV shows such as One Tree Hill, Felicity, Smallville, and Alias. Drawing inspiration from variety of sources—Dylan, the delta blues, ambient noise—Matt will blend his, unmistakable voice, captivating stage presence, and tour de force songwriting into a night of honest, contemplative,and uniquely crafted songs. In true Third Thursday fashion he'll also be sharing some of his story and answering any and all questions about his life in music. Ranging from poignant and peculiar to wild and whimsical, these timeless tales open secret worlds, shine new light into our own, and hint at our deepest loves, fears and hopes. October: Art of the Harvest
Join us in October for our second annual Art of the Harvest! Last year we made pies from scratch, heard some songs and poetry, and watched original performances, while curling up with steaming cups of apple cider and hot chocolate. This year, again, we'll enjoy original works of poetry, music, and performance, while celebrating the harvest with our taste buds!
November: Nathan Smart and Matt Eyer, Multimedia Comedy Showcase
Blank, Blank, Party Time, Excellent presents "I'm Telling You for the Last Time... Tonight.” Nathan and Matt are very funny men. Stand up comics, musical artists, YouTubers, and writers, they stay busy making people laugh, making people think, and making people think they're laughing. This month, they'll do all three with their unique brand of humor, insight and wit in a multimedia comedy showcase!
December: Christmas Presence
This December Wild Goose Creative continues its tradition of inviting the Christmas season with community, art and celebration! We'll spend a festive night together exploring the joy and mystery of the season with stories, performances, music, and revelry shared by some of our favorite Wild Goose artists and friends! Featuring a host of talented local performers and musicians including Matt Beckler, Jon Burgess, Amanda Anderson, and more, it promises to be a night to remember!

Join us when Debra Freeberg, a playwright hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, shares with us her new play, Nobody Could Have Invented Our Lives.
February: Jeffrey T. Horvath, Musician/Composer
Join us for an evening of music and conversation from this talented Columbus native and published composer as he leads an intimate discussion and demonstration of his creative process. Jeffrey, a lifelong musician, began studying piano at the age of five and has been composing his entire life. Inspired by his everyday environment, and fascinated by the freedom that comes with limitation, he'll share a new collection pieces that explores the interplay between just six simple notes. Don't miss this innovative and unique evening of engaging stories and incredible music!
March: Devon Palmer, Woodturner
Using reclaimed urban timber this local artisan (literally) turns wood into breathtaking works of art. A master at combining the natural and the extraordinary, the shavings will fly as Devon demonstrates the wood turning process and showcases his beautiful and functional creations.
April: 8th Floor Improv, OSU Improv Team
You've seen it on Who's Line Is It Anyway and at Second City in Chicago... now come see some of Columbus' premiere improv comedians. Join us as we welcome 8th Floor Improv, the Ohio State student improv group, for our April Third Thursdays. They'll keep us laughing while they showcase their skills and talk about the process of training for, creating, and performing improv comedy.

June: Geekfest, A Festival of Geekdom: A Night of Superhero Plays
Find out if four playwrights use their powers for good or for evil. This script workshop will feature fresh offerings from Michael Neno, Nick Fancher, Eric Mullins, and Andy Anderson. In keeping with Wild Goose Creative’s Third Thursdays tradition, we bring you works in progress, lightly staged versions of four short plays. After the performance there will be a question-and-answer period with the playwrights.
July: Jeremy Slagle, Graphic Designer - Element Design
This month we're so excited to welcome graphic designer Jeremy Slagle to Third Thursdays! Jeremy is a fantastic designer of some of Columbus' most well know brands and events including Columbus Brewing Company, and Scoot e Cue, and is just an all around fun and engaging guy with a unique story to tell. Join us as Jeremy shows a collection of finished work, sketches, and designs and gives us a window into the art and life of a graphic designer! He'll share fascinating insights into the collaborative process letting us know how he takes a clients idea and makes it reality, how he stays sharp as an artist, and answers the all questions you've always wanted to ask about graphic design!

Michael McEwan is known nationwide for his incredible oil paintings. He will be leading us through a discussion and demonstration of his work and talent. For lovers of art of all kinds, this is not to be missed!
September: Jon Burgess, Singer/Songwriter
Unique and thoughtful songwriting at its best from accomplished Columbus musician Jon Burgess. Join us as Jon plays new tunes and shares insights into his process and music.
October: Art of the Harvest
It's that time of year again - time for pumpkins, football, apple pie, and of course, Art of the Harvest, our third annual celebration of all things autumn! This intimate night is a collection of Ohio autumn goodness featuring local music, top-notch storytellers, performances, a community pumpkin-carving session, and delicious fall goodies. Sponsored by Cackler Family Farms, we'll be showcasing a host of past WGC favorites, including music from, Andy Malone, spooky stories from professional teller Frank McGarvey, and more! It will be an evening that's sure to entertain and inspire, so join us as we interpret and celebrate this mysterious and beautiful time of year!

This December we return to our tradition of beckoning the Christmas season with art and revelry shared by some of our favorite Wild Goose musicians, artists, and friends! Featuring performances by Jon Burgess, Nathan Laing, Whistling in the Dark Theatre Co., and others!

January: Third Thursday with Michael Neno, Max Ink, Jonathan Riddle, and Lora Innes
Join us for the release of Michael Neno’s longtime work-in-progress, the first issue of The Signifiers! He and three other accomplished local cartoonists will also be on hand that night to discuss their work, including local legend Max Ink, creator of Blink; Lora Innes, creator of the critically acclaimed print and web comic The Dreamer; and Jonathan Riddle, who's currently drawing a commissioned, WWII-era graphic novel written by Terry Eisle entitled Five Plums. This evening is a unique opportunity to hear from four artists with very different approaches, working in the same medium.
February: Chris Gatton Showcase
Chris Gatton has always had an acute appreciation for the beautiful in music, regardless of genre. Join him as he explores the elusive character of that thing we call "good" in music. With the help of three fellow local musicians, Craig Allen, Steffie Willis, and Andre Scott, he will be guiding you through some of his favorite melodies ranging from the Beatles to Taylor Swift to his own original melodies all in the context of an intimate jazz quartet.
For our October Too Many Cooks we welcome Ajay Kumar from Taj Mahal, Columbus' oldest Indian restaurant. Ajay will share some of their specialties with us, discuss the life of their busy restaurant, and talk about what sets North Indian cuisine apart!
