JACQUI HOKE

Bio

Jacqui’s story begins in the beautiful province of British Columbia (yes, that’s Canada, folks). She spent most of her childhood in the stunning city of Victoria, attending a small Christian school and pretending to be British as all good Victorians do. At the age of 17, she headed to Calvin College, located in the freezing tundra of West Michigan, where she studied Communications and Theatre, and tried her hand at everything from acting to directing to design and beyond. After graduating in 2005, she married Ryan on a hot and rainy day in June, much to the delight of her entire family. The newly married couple then ventured back to Jacqui’s homeland to be the first married couple ever to do side-by-side apprenticeships at Vancouver’s much acclaimed Pacific Theatre. After an extraordinary year in Canada’s wonderland, Ryan and Jacqui headed back to the mid-west to join Nick and Beth and Karl and Jessie in Columbus, where Jacqui now works as a managing receptionist at a local hair salon by day and serves as co-founder and Gateway for Wild Goose Creative every other waking moment.

Artistic Interests

Jacqui’s greatest love, artistically, is performing.  While acting may be her first love, she also enjoys singing and studying etymology (which she does indeed consider an artform).  Jacqui plays a little trumpet and has tried at one time or another to learn both the acoustic and bass guitar.

Job Description

Jacqui is the Gateway for Wild Goose Creative. She is the way into the company for both people and their ideas, a gatherer for Wild Goose Creative. She is the face that is usually seen first and most often. The Gateway is people focused and acts as a connector, filter, and equipper or coach.
