Bacon is delicious on its own, and there are those amongst us who would think that adding it to other things, or - God forbid - adding other ingredients to it is marring its true potential. But we believe that bacon makes everything better. So, cooks, start your griddles!
Prizes will be awarded for the judges’ favorite Bacon dishes, one for each category: sweet, savory and facon. Entries are welcome in any category and will be judged based on taste, texture, visual appeal, and creativity.
Contest is limited to 15 entries, so register soon! Registration deadline: August 15, 2010.
Note to contest entrants:
•All contest entrants will receive 1 free ticket to the event.
•Please provide enough food to serve 6 judges’ plates plus 50 tasting-sized portions for other guests.
•Please be prepared to plate and present the judges’ portions - you may bring your own dishes and garnish. Paper plates will be provided at the event
•The remaining tasting portions should be presented in a half-sheet foil pan to be served buffet-style to guests.
•Tasting portions will be served at the beginning of the event. You are invited to serve your own dish from the buffet line so you may answer any questions guests may have.
